Job Description
Pay range $29.60/hr. - $38.05/hr. based on experience
Expected Schedule :
2nd shift will be 1700-0530 3.5 days a week
The shifts are Sun-Wed and Wed-Sat
*With Wednesday being the half day.*
Refrigeration Requirement
Knowledge/ experience with HVAC systems.
Must have Six(6) months of industrial refrigeration experience.
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
Must have a good working knowledge of Industrial Refrigeration principles
Must be able to wear Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) if required
Must be able to climb ladders
Must be able to reach, lift and work overhead
Must be able to walk, stand or sit for the duration of the shift
Must have good hand-eye coordination
Must be able to tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and from very wet to very dry.
Must be able to communicate and get along with others.
Must be able to work with devices that are very fragile and require precise attention.
Must be able to comply with OSHA standards
Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules
Saturday and Sunday work required if needed.
Work very closely with other maintenance personnel to receive and pass along information concerning the job.
Capable of moving equipment, machinery, etc. more than 40 LBS when needed. Must be able to work on and inspect equipment, which may involve bending and turning.
Must be able to move freely throughout the plant over and around equipment, people and obstacles.
Functions
Troubleshoot/repair industrial refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on designated equipment
Complete all work order tasks and ensure all work is logged into computerized system
Follow all Tyson Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines
Monitor all Industrial refrigeration equipment daily
Must be willing to perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) and repairs on refrigeration equipment like air compressors, HVAC, MAUS, cooling coils, boilers/steam and the potable water system and temping carcasses to ensure temperature specifications are met. Conduct rounds to monitor and document readings for operational purposes. Must be willing to use manuals, understand manuals, scheduling sheets and complete reports as needed. Must be willing to become certified in Lock-Out/Tag Out, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry. Must be able and willing to use a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and air purified respirators (APR). Must be willing to work in extreme hot and cold environments, with seasonal winter temperatures below zero and summer temperatures up to 110 degrees.
