This is a position within a recycling facility that is responsible for overseeing the production floor, designating co-workers to specified areas, and promoting a safe environment. This position requires constant communication with co-workers to ensure the tasks at hand are carried out accordingly. This document is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties, but a general summary; other duties may be assigned. Duties include: - Leading co-workers to include schedules, training, productivity, and discipline when necessary - Overseeing the daily production schedule, including overseeing the floor - Helping facilitate morning meetings in conjunction with fellow co-workers which should include a daily safety topic(s), inbound/outbound loads, production schedule, etc. - Be knowledgeable of balers, sort lines, and hoggers if associated with the designated facility - Helping operators in regard to efficiency and help them achieve the optimum throughput for the equipment - Responsible for ensuring quality systems are in place and comply with customer specifications - Overseeing the production of inbound material on a timely basis per schedule - Creating and maintaining a strong safety culture - On the production floor several hours throughout the day to ensure safety and production goals are being met - Fill-in on equipment when co-workers are absent - Overseeing the organization of the workspace and tools to increase efficiency.
