Fitting and welding parts and frames square and true, with quality workmanship, for machines built to WestRock’s high standards on the premises.
Duties include:
• Work safely, follow all safety practices
• Set up and operate a full range of sheet metal forming and bending machinery, which may be manual, automatic, and/or programmable
• Perform ordinary hand welding operations, utilizing MIG or stick welding equipment, in all positions, for mechanical strength and high pressure on sheet metal.
• Operate MIG or TIG welding equipment together with atmospheric control equipment for difficult and unusual hand welding operations on a range of metal and alloys for a variety of complex precision assemblies, involving a considerable amount of welding to high strength and pressure requirements.
• Ability to silver solder various materials
• Promptness, follow a work schedule
• Cleanup of work area and shop as needed or directed.
