Duties include: • Reading work orders and receiving instructions to determine work requirements • Calculating amounts of required materials to accomplish the job most effectively and efficiently. • Requesting supplies both verbally & written • Preparing various surfaces for painting and other coatings (washing, treating, scraping, burning, sanding, and sandblasting) to ensure finishes will adhere properly; removes fixtures and hardware as necessary; caulks, putties, cement, or plasters holes and cracks. • Priming and sealing to prepare new surfaces for finish coats; uses drop cloths to protect surroundings areas during paint application • Mixing, matching, and blending chemicals, colors of paint and other coatings to obtain desired consistencies, drying properties, and colors • Applying paint, epoxy, stains, varnish, enamel, and other coatings/finishes to equipment and facilities using brushes, spray guns, rollers, and other applicators. • Cleaning, maintaining, and storing tools and equipment; clean work sites, disposes of paints, solvents, and other hazardous materials used in work • Erecting and using ladders, scaffolding and equipment as necessary to work above ground level Food safety duties include: • Producing products free of contamination • Following all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies • Reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant • Inspection of the work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
