Journeyman Millwright Finch Paper Glens Falls

This position requires you to be successfully fit tested for a full face respirator and be respirator ready (clean shaven on the sides of the head and neck areas) at all times. Responsibilities include: • Responding to mechanical maintenance needs throughout the facility, including the ability to perform diagnostics and make repairs • Performing rigging operations; dismounting and mounting bearings, including taper bore bearings; rebuilding pumps, including the installation of mechanical seals; • Rebuilding and changing paper machine rolls; • Aligning shafts and couplings; • Disassembling and repairing various speed reducers; • Formal apprenticeship and/or relevant work experience strongly preferred.
