Pharmacy Packaging Technician Giant Eagle Freedom

As a Pharmacy Packaging Technician, you’ll be a key part of our collaborative team. You’ll bring your skills and expertise to accurately and efficiently filling prescriptions, supporting Pharmacists, and ensuring that the pharmacy runs at the highest possible level. Duties include: - Removing out-of-date and expired medications using proper company procedures. - Training and mentoring new department team members. - Reporting errors, omissions, and incidents to Pharmacists on duty. - Perform, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, the direct preparation and filing of a prescription. - Preparing and filing non-auto counted drugs. - Labeling bottles and prepackaged items accurately. - Replenishing canisters with consumables needed for prescription fulfillment. - Maintaining a neat and clean work environment in order to ensure that company and government requirements are met. - Recognizing, addressing, and escalating system issues. - Adhere to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA. - Operating semi-automatic cabinets in order to fill customer orders. - Maintaining production rates and meet quality expectations as determined by leadership. *Employees are eligible to receive team member perks and discounts: 10% off purchases of all own brand products.*

This bonus is paid out in 3 installments $200 after 90 days.  $300 after 6months and  $500 at 1 year of service.
