- Responsible for delivering product safely to customers by operating and driving a company delivery truck with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,000 pounds.
-Inspects vehicle and load before and after delivery.
-Follows safety regulations, maintains the vehicle, and secures cargo for safe transport.
-Plans routes using navigation tools and adjusts based on traffic and road conditions.
-Verifies load documentation, confirms contents match, and ensures compliance with state regulations.
-Operates trucks, including tractor-trailers, to transport products and materials.
-Maintains logs of work hours and vehicle status in line with regulations.
-Communicates with customers and team members and collects proof of delivery.
-Reports vehicle issues, helps unload cargo, and performs additional duties as assigned.
-Couple or uncouple trailers by adjusting trailer jacks, connecting/disconnecting air or electrical lines, and manipulating fifth-wheel locks.
-Crank trailer landing gear to secure vehicles safely.
-Communicate with customer support and sales teams for updates on customer yards.
-Check inventory levels at customer sites and suggest replenishment orders.
-Act as a liaison between Award and customers, engaging with sales and support teams.
-Assist with moving trailers to and from offsite locations and within the yard.
-Remove debris from loaded trailers.
-Report quality defects observed before leaving pickup locations.
