A Brief Overview
As a Welder I at Wood-Mizer, you will measure, weld, cut, and sand metal pieces and products using MIG welding equipment according to the required specifications set forth by Wood-Mizer.

What you will do
- Know how to weld all common types and sizes of steel.
- Be able to successfully and with a steady hand weld in all positions.
- Set any power supply to weld any size or thickness of steel.
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts and various hand and air tools as required.
- Clean weld spatter and grind parts per print specifications.
- Meet production goals.
- Productively participate in a Continuous Improvement work environment.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma Req
- Trade School Certificate Vocational school and/or technical college training Pref
Experience Qualifications
- 1-3 years Welding experience Required
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and weld symbols. (High proficiency)
- Ability to set any power supply to weld and know if the fusion is correct or incorrect.

- Attention to detail. (High proficiency)
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
