General Job Description: This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks: This position is responsible for all preventive maintenance including lubrication, adjustment, rebuilding, scheduled service, cleaning and assisting operator on change over. Responsibilities include: Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production equipment including ovens, freezers, cartoners, wrappers and all other manufacturing systems plant wide; maintain proper housekeeping in work area as well as keep equipment clean and orderly at all times; maintain all required records; observe and promote all Plant Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Candidate must be willing and able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance and be willing and able to stand for 8 – 12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme hot or cold environments ranging from 30 to 120 degrees. This position requires basic computer skills in order to complete required training and/or tasks. Candidate must be able to identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks. Candidate must have the ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment.

Qualifications

  • 18+ years old
  • High school diploma
  • Can lift 50+ lbs
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 6 months of previous experience in industrial maintenance in an manufacturing environment OR be currently enrolled in an Industrial Maintenance program.
