Job Summary

Maintain mechanical and electrical industrial food manufacturing equipment. Must be available to work 3rd shift work schedule hours 10:PM-6:30AM. Must be available to work 3rd shift schedule, 10:00PM-6:30AM, and daily overtime up to 4 hours +/- as needed. **Must have experience with troubleshooting, repair & overhaul food processing equipment, fillers, case packagers, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, PLC controllers and drive systems. **Must have experience with Electric & Electronic troubleshooting. **Must have experience with Pneumatic & hydraulic systems. Essential Duties: * Adheres to safety, food safety, quality and legal compliance. * Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health and safety standards, rules, regulations and practices of the facility. * Must be able to pass training/certifications as required for qualification. * Install, maintain and support all production related equipment utilized in processing areas. * Use a variety of test equipment, machines, hand tools and computer aided equipment. * Respond to equipment breakdowns and production needs in an expeditious professional manner. * Ability to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures or breakdowns. * Perform maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules, utilizing appropriate blueprints, diagrams, sketches, national codes and verbal/written instructions. * Maintain a clean and orderly shop and work area. * Assist other mechanics when performing heavy jobs. * Must be able to work overtime, weekends and willing to move to any shift. * Repair and maintenance of high-speed packaging equipment, dismantling and assembling multiple brands of mechanical and electrical equipment, repair and replacement of defective parts, and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. * General understanding and compliance with all OSHA regulations, National Electrical Codes, State Mechanical Codes and other Plant/Facility Operational or safety procedures. * Ability to comply with and execute the established preventive maintenance and work order/repair program in place. * Document completed work as required by the supervisor. * Compliance with all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 18+ years old
  • High school diploma
  • Can lift 30+ lbs
  • Must pass drug screen
  • At least 2 year experience in food manufacturing.
  • Must possess previous experience and/or technical training in one or all of the following areas:
  • PLC, electrical controls and motor circuits.
  • Mechanical and machinist.
  • Hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Refrigeration.
  • Cutting torches, TIG and stick welding.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Must be available to work 3rd shift, daily OT up to 4 hours, and weekends as needed.
  • Experience in troubleshoot, repair & overhaul food processing equipment: fillers, case packages, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, PLC controllers and drive systems.
  • Experience in Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems
  • Experience in Heli Arch Welding
  • Must also successfully complete a skills assessment test during 1st interview.
